So, my girlfriends and I got into a heated discussion the other day regarding a woman's role in a relationship. Some of us (including me) felt that it should be 50/50, and some of us felt that the man should take the role of a leader and make all of the desicions in a household. There were 7 of us having the discussion and only 1 agreed with me. I was shocked that the majority of my friends felt that a woman's role in a relationship should not be equal to a man.
So I wonder, how many women out there do feel that a man should be the leader and make all of the desicions in a relationship?
What if the man choose not to make all of the decisions by himself? What if he wants an independent woman with her own opinion and aren't afraid to help with the desicion making? Whould that make him a bad man?
To the women who do feels that a man should make all of the decision...what happens when the man that you chose to give all of that power, makes a horrible decision for your relationship...ie) cheats on you, gamble all of your money and leave you with nothing? Do you go out there and find another man and give him the same control?
It is 2008...5 out of 7 of us felt that a man should be in charge...that is the majority!!!! Is that how it really is out there....
Any thoughts???
p.s. To the men out there...do you want this role or do you want an independent woman? Or is Neyo singing a whole bunch of BS?
